Most of the teachers' websites are very bare and do not contain a lot of information. Most either have information on how to contact them, or a little blip about them and their teaching experience. A few of the websites have good information in regard to the course such as expectations or supplies required. A more personalized website with more information on classes would be great for teachers, however these quick blips are good for a public page where anybody can look. They contain the most important information, such as contact information, they just aren’t very personalized.

There are so many great online resources for teachers that I plan on using when I become an elementary teacher. There are online planners, calendars, generative AI, Canva, random name wheels, and so so much more. There are a lot of options that I can use to plan and organize teaching material to help make things a little easier. There are also great options that I can use in the classroom for teaching purposes. I will explore different online learning websites that I can incorporate into my class. I think I will primarily use technology as a part of my lessons in order to help familiarize students with different types of technology and make sure they are learning how to use it safely and effectively.

I learned a lot about lesson plans and generative AI in assignment 2. It was really interesting to see how different generative AIs made different lessons on the same topic. At first glance all of the lesson plans seemed really well made, it wasn’t until I started evaluating them that I realized there are definitely some flaws. One of the biggest things I noticed about the AI lesson plans is that they lacked complexity. They were very base level lessons that could have been used for multiple grade levels. A lot of the lesson plans had a breakdown of how long each section of the lesson should take for better time management, but I don’t think that they’re very realistic. Time management in lessons depends on the class, the group of class, how the day is going, and so much more. These are factors that AI is not able to take into consideration and are up to the teacher to adjust too. I did notice that a lot of the lesson plans were a good mix of individual, small group, and whole class segments though. It’s important that lessons incorporate all three types of learning because every child learns differently. I think overall generative AI can be very helpful for coming up with the base for lesson plans, but teachers should review and edit them to fit the needs of their class. I also really enjoyed using the Canvas group tool. I use Canvas daily, and have been for the past 6+ years, so it was really interesting seeing how the Canvas pages are made.
